Crossed brain wires

I sometimes see things that aren’t there.

No, not like that.

Reading signs has become entertainment instead of edification:

Passing a church with one of those scrolling electronic reader boards, I saw:

“A mighty mattress is our God.”

Passing a horse ranch, there was a hand-lettered sign advertising a logical product for sale:

I can’t see what’s happening with the brain pathways for my optic nerves (no pun intended, but accepted!), but it sure makes life fun with unexpected ways to think about things.

Think about those two mis-reads up there.  Maybe I read those signs correctly?

I am special and getting the subliminal and secret messages!

That sort of stuff makes my life worth living. Have you looked up engrish? It’s amazing. Also, Brian does what you’ve just described, but verbally. Example: He’ll describe someone as being born with a silver plate in their mouths, or describe making a u-point turn. He once asked a client to come looking effluent to appear in a photo…..

Oh yes, me too! I will look up engrish.

Yes, idiom kills me, in several languages, but especially my first language, English!

      Effluent in a photo! hahahahahaha!

Engrish! Excellent site! When I was in Taiwan and China, I wanted so badly to get a job helping with translation into English because the signs were unnervingly funny!

Oh I am so glad someone else does this too. Some of the things i misread really make me giggle. I must look quite quite mad!

Oh please share! I know what you mean–drivin’ down the road crackin’ myself up! At least it could be the radio, but since you’re on your bicycle, you don’t have that to fall back on!

I still can’t figure out what cowspot was supposed to be. It makes too much sense the ‘wrong’ way.
